The Jets who could start carving out a bigger role this spring — or slide down the depth chart

The Jets begin organized team activities this week, which is a fancy way of saying practice.

The Jets have been going through offseason workouts for several weeks now, but teams are not allowed to have offense vs. defense in those first two phases of the offseason program. They can in Phase 3, or OTAs.

The main storyline of the Jets’ return to the field is going to be quarterback Aaron Rodgers, of course, and how he looks in the practices that are open to the media.

You can’t get a lot out of watching these practices. The players are in shorts and don’t have pads on. It is like watching a 7-on-7 game for the most part.
