No silver linings here.
Jennifer Lawrence admitted falling not once, but twice, at the Oscars could seem like a bit rather than a real series of unfortunate events.
“Chicken Shop Date” host and Oscars Ambassador Amelia Dimoldenberg jokingly asked Lawrence, 33, Sunday at the 2024 Oscars if she had any “tips” for future winners on “not falling up the stairs” as she famously did in 2013.
“Well, yeah, just don’t do that,” Lawrence quipped. “You know, I fell the next year, too. So then it just looked like I 100% faked. Oh, it was awful.”
Lawrence reminded Dimoldenberg that she “fell on a cone” on the 2014 Oscars red carpet.
“An ice cream cone?” the funnywoman joked.
“I wish,” the “Hunger Games” star laughed. “No, an orange cone.”
Lawrence’s 2013 Best Actress award for “Silver Linings Playbook” was the first and only Oscar she’s won thus far in her career.
“Thank you. You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell and that’s really embarrassing, but thank you,” she began her acceptance speech at the time.

Lawrence got through Sunday’s award show without any issues in a polka dot Christian Dior Haute Couture gown. She was one of several former Best Actress winners to present Emma Stone for “Poor Things.”
However, media personality Liza Koshy, 27, wasn’t as lucky. Her sky-high platform heels made her take a tumble on the 96th Academy Awards red carpet.
Lawrence addressed her viral Oscar falls in a 2020 appearance on the “Absolutely Not” podcast.
“I was very nervous and also very superstitious. I didn’t want to acknowledge the possibility that I would win. I didn’t want to write down a speech,” the “No Hard Feelings” star recalled.
“I had everything in my head. I was very, very nervous but I was ready. All of the adrenaline clears out and they call my name and I’m elated and I’m in shock. And then I fell, and it erased everything from my mind. My full brain went blank.”
Lawrence added, “I can look back at it now fondly, but for a very long time the fall thing was very sensitive.”
