‘Gang’s All Here’ Podcast Episode 151: So sick of Zach Wilson

Enough is enough with Zach Wilson.

This is the third season of the same old song with this guy. He simply is not a starting NFL quarterback and not good enough to be a backup for most teams. When you don’t have it, you don’t have it. He clearly does not.

You saw the likes of Joe Flacco, Mike White and even a bit of Chris Streveler have some success in this Jets offense. Wilson continues to bring this team down and it showed again Sunday in the 15-10 loss to the Patriots.

The Jets need to add a quarterback … and they need to do it now.

Enough waiting around. The options are slim and aren’t great, but they are better than Zach Wilson. Colt McCoy is better right now than Wilson. Carson Wentz probably is better than Zach.

It’s going to take time for the quarterback to learn the playbook, so the Jets need to get on top of this situation and bring someone in.

If they don’t believe Tim Boyle can step in and have success, they need to get someone ASAP. A 1-2 season can quickly spiral out of control with the schedule coming up … and a team that had playoff aspirations even when Aaron Rodgers went down can sink into oblivion again.

On a new episode of the “Gang’s All Here” podcast, Brian Costello and I react to the 15th straight Jets loss to the Patriots, the quarterback saga and where the team goes from here.

Gang’s All Here Podcast with Jake Brown & Brian Costello:

  • ZACH RANT: I opened up the show with a rant on what we saw Sunday and have repeatedly seen from Wilson.
  • COZ ON QB: Once you bench Wilson, it would be over for him with the Jets. It’s a tough decision to make at this point.
  • PLAY-CALLING: Nathaniel Hackett deserves some blame too. Where is Mecole Hardman? He got two snaps Sunday. Jeremy Ruckert got one snap.
