Noted trial lawyer Bill Carmody — who has repped Uber against Google as well as WeWork founder Adam Neumann — and his spouse, Catherine, have sold their sixth-floor Noho condo for $7.75 million, according to property records.
The posh residence, at 40 Bond St., was last asking $8.3 million.
The Carmodys bought the unit in 2008 from the sponsors for $5.8 million. It first hit the market for $8.95 million in 2020.
A year later, in 2021, the couple paid $11.8 million for a penthouse duplex at Michael Stern’s Monad Terrace, according to reports.
South Florida is now their primary residence.
The Bond Street loft is a three-bedroom, 3½-bath, full-floor unit. At 2,617 square feet, the space features 11-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and hardwood floors.
Design details include modern chandeliers and wall sconces, motorized solar shades and a built-in bookcase with a library ladder. The residence opens with a foyer that leads to a great room, a home office/den and a chef’s kitchen.
Hotelier Ian Schrager, the co-founder of Studio 54, developed the 11-story building, designed by Herzog & de Meuron, in 2006. Schrager loves the building so much, we hear, that he still lives in the penthouse.
