Nets snag Kansas forward Jalen Wilson in second round of NBA draft

The Nets made their third pick of the NBA Draft on Thursday night at Barclays Center, selecting forward Jalen Wilson with the No. 51 selection.

The second-round pick broke through during his senior season at the University of Kansas, averaging 20.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.

Wilson was a consensus All-American and won the Julius Erving Award for being the nation’s top small forward.

Wilson, who won a national title in 2021, finished as the 14th-best rebounder (802) in school history.

Earlier in the night, the Nets selected Noah Clowney and Dariq Whitehead in the first round.
