A stranger stole a chihuahua off a Queens street while the pup’s owner stepped into a store, cops said.

The 44-year-old owner tied his dog, named Chico, in front of the City Fresh Market on 20th Avenue near 123rd Street in College Point before he went inside around 9:20 p.m. June 14, police said.

With Chico’s owner out of sight, a man scooped up the dog and fled, cops said.

He was last seen fleeing east on 20th Avenue.

Cops describe the suspect as a man, around 30-years-old with a dark complexion and slim build, standing around 5-foot-8.
