Prince Andrew may have kept in touch with Jeffrey Epstein months after he claims they cut ties

Disgraced Prince Andrew appears to have kept in touch with late pedophile pal Jeffrey Epstein — even after he claimed to have flown to Manhattan just to dump him.

The younger son of King Charles III spent large chunks of his disastrous 2019 interview with the BBC justifying his four-day stay at Epstein’s mansion in December 2010 as a brave decision to stop seeing the shady multimillionaire who’d been released from jail months earlier for having sex with underage girls.

“I took the decision that I had to show leadership and I had to go and see him and I had to tell him, ‘That’s it,'” Andrew said, decrying his only mistake as his “tendency to be too honorable.”

He claimed that photos of them walking through Central Park were taken at the very moment he was telling the pervert he “didn’t “think it was appropriate” to stay friends.

“And to this day, I never had any contact with him,” he firmly told “Newsnight” in the sitdown in 2019, months after Epstein killed himself in prison while awaiting further serious child-sex charges.

However, a 22-page report by JPMorgan Chase challenges that assertion, according to the Telegraph, which claims to have seen the document.

The report includes a message Epstein allegedly sent to his banker, JPMorgan’s then-executive Jes Staley, about a message seemingly from the prince.

“Andrew asked for your London schedule,” Epstein reportedly told Staley in February 2011, two months after all contact supposedly ended and years before Andrew discussed it on “Newsnight.”

Reps for Andrew, now 63, did not immediately comment, the Telegraph said.

Sources close to the prince maintained that he didn’t see Epstein after their supposed Central Park showdown, the paper said — without saying if that also ruled out other forms of contact.

However, in his BBC interview, Andrew stressed that cutting ties with Epstein meant they never spoke again, saying that “2010 was it. That was it.”

Andrew’s attempts to justify his luxury stay sparked the outrage that led to him getting booted from royal duties by his now-deceased mom, Queen Elizabeth II.

It was the same Upper East Side mansion where Andrew’s own accuser, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, claimed she’d been forced to have sex with the prince — and a trip where Andrew was alleged to have been seen getting a foot massage from a young-looking Russian girl.

“It might seem a funny way to break off a friendship — a four-day house party of sorts with a dinner” at “the house of a convicted sex offender,” BBC interviewer Emily Maitlis told the prince at one point.

“That’s a very stark way of putting it — [but] yes, you’re absolutely right,” Andrew conceded, saying only with hindsight did he realize it was “definitely the wrong thing to do.”

Still, Andrew said that he’d “had to go and see” Epstein in person because delivering the news by phone would be “the chicken’s way of doing it.”

“We were friends,” he said of the dead pedophile whose properties he would stay at “quite often.”

His main justification for the friendship was that it was via Epstein’s “girlfriend,” Ghislaine Maxwell — who is currently serving 20 years in federal prison for trafficking young girls for her financier ex.

Andrew settled with his sex accuser, Giuffre, for an estimated $12 million in February 2022. However, he has always strenuously denied knowing that Epstein and Maxwell operated a sex-trafficking ring.
