Golf ball-sized hail pelts Louis Tomlinson concertgoers at Red Rocks, injuring nearly 100

Golf ball-sized hail pelted Louis Tomlinson fans at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks venue Wednesday night, injuring nearly 100 of the concertgoers, according to officials and video from the scene.

Seven people were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries and another 80 to 90 attendees were treated on the scene, West Metro Fire Rescue said.

The injured suffered broken bones and lacerations, according to the rescue service said.

“Tonight was the scariest night of my life,” an attendee, Nicole, wrote on Twitter.

“It started pelting people with hail at Red Rocks and my sister and I luckily found shelter under a sign. I am bleeding and have bumps on my head from the hail.”

A wild video taken by Nicole captures the giant hailstones crashing down, striking people and blanketing the ground. People can be heard screaming and crying in the footage.

Another video from the scene shows concertgoers gathered underneath a tree in the stadium as it hails down on them.

Many tried to protect their heads with jackets, bags and other items as people screamed out in pain.

One attendee posted an image of her arm, covered in swollen red splotches due to the hailstones. She said she couldn’t make it to her car and was denied access into Red Rocks when she was trying to find a place to shelter.

“Thank you so much to the concessions workers at red rocks for not letting us in to take shelter bc we couldn’t get to our cars and instead recorded us and laughed at us while i was sobbing having a panic attack,” Bella tweeted alongside the photo of her arm.

Another fan who attended the concert also tweeted that she saw workers at the venue recording and laughing at fans “getting trampled and beaten by hail.” She said she has welts on her head as a result of the storm.

Many fans had taken Ubers or other rideshare vehicles to get to the venue and had no place to shelter when the hail came crashing down in the outside venue.

Some on social media warned concertgoers to check for signs of a concussion before going to sleep.

The major storm first caused the concert to be delayed before organizers ultimately postponed the former One Direction band member’s show to a later date.

Several cars were damaged during the hailstorm as well.
