A UK woman has revealed that she makes nearly $83 an hour by cleaning houses — in just her underwear.
“I love being naked and love cleaning, so it was a win-win with great rates of pay,” Rhiannon, 32, told Caters.
Rhiannon, who is a beautician, now works part time at the Naked Cleaning Company.
“In the next three to six months, I’ll only have to work 10 hours for what I’d earn in my 40-hour-a-week contract with my current employer,” she said. “I’m just building my clientele in the northwest to allow me to quit my present full-time job.”
Rhiannon explained that the clothing worn to each client’s house varies based on what that person wants.
“We have to arrive to every booking in smart casual wear, but as for the booking attire, it’s at the client’s request,” Rhiannon explained. “If they want us to wear an outfit or a certain color of underwear, they will request that.”
“All my clients have been lovely and proper gentlemen. They are very complimentary, which boosts my confidence.”
She added that cleaning naked was like “just a normal working day,” but that it also encourages her to “get up and do my hair and makeup and gives me a spring in my step.”
Rhiannon also praised her company’s commitment to safety.
“I actually enquired with other naked cleaning companies within the area where I live, but they don’t carry out any safety checks on cleaners or clients,” said the Manchester native. “I felt uncomfortable that they were willing to just send cleaners into clients’ properties with no relevant safety in place or checks carried out.
“It’s rather a concern if you ask me,” she continued.
Rhiannon stated that much of her comfort cleaning in the nude comes from the knowledge that her boss and founder of the Naked Cleaning Company, Nikki Belton, is only a phone call away.
“I like the personal touch from the owner,” she told Caters. “It’s very important and reassuring.”
According to Belton, 37, safety is a top priority for her girls.
“We have many structures in place to protect cleaners,” said Belton, who founded the company in 2020.
“People’s safety is so important to me — these cleaners are people’s daughters, sons, partners, moms and dads.”
