Tyreek Hill under investigation by Miami police for alleged assault

Star Dolphins wideout Tyreek Hill is reportedly under investigation in Miami for an alleged assault.

Hill, 29, was accused of hitting a worker at the Haulover Marina, according to a report from WPLG Local 10 in Miami.

According to Local 10, Hill allegedly hit the man, who works for a boat charter company, after “some kind of disagreement.”

Miami-Dade police spokesman Angel Rodriguez confirmed Tuesday via email to the Associated Press that police are investigating an “assault/battery” involving Hill from Sunday.

Andy Slater of Fox Sports 640 added that Hill allegedly slapped the employee in the back of the head, that the incident began “when Hill’s crew tried boarding the boat without permission,” and that the alleged victim doesn’t want to press charges “at this time”.

Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, did not immediately return messages from Local 10 seeking comment.

Hill had shared an Instagram story from a boat on Father’s Day on Sunday.

It is unknown whether Hill will face charges for the alleged incident or whether the man he allegedly hit was injured.

“We are aware of the situation and have been in contact with Tyreek, his representatives and the NFL,” a Dolphins spokesperson told the AP via email. “We will reserve further comment at this time.”

Hill, one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, has made the Pro Bowl in all seven of his seasons in the league and has been selected as a first-team All-Pro four times.

Last season, his first in Miami after spending six years in the NFL in Kansas City, he caught 119 balls for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns.

Earlier this offseason, Hill stunned NFL fans when he said he planned to retire after his 10th year in the league following the 2025-26 season.

“I really want to get into the gaming space,” Hill said in April. “I really want to get huge in that and that’s kind of what I’m doing right now. I’m using my platform to create a gaming team, which isn’t launched yet. It should launch by the end of this month.

“I’m going to just sign different content creators, different athletes. I just been working that, talking to different sponsors.

“I want to do so many things in my life.”
