Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay is anticipating a year like no other.
McVay and his wife, Veronika Khomyn, are expecting a baby boy this fall, the luxury real estate agent announced Sunday in an Instagram post, which included photos of the couple posing with an ultrasound.
“Guess who’s becoming a dad this football season!” Khomyn wrote. “Baby boy McVay is coming this fall and we’re so excited to meet him and love on him.
“I can’t believe he’s been growing in my belly for 5 months already.”
One of the photos featured their dog wearing a bandana that read: “I thought I was the baby!”
Khomyn, a former model, also shared a close-up photo with her hand on her stomach, captioned: “20 weeks.”
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit hopeful Jena Sims — who’s expecting a baby boy with her husband, pro golfer Brooks Koepka — commented on the snaps, “These are perfect 😍.”
McVay, 37, tied the knot with the Ukrainian-born beauty in a lavish Beverly Hills wedding in June 2022, just months after he coached the Rams to a 23-20 win over the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.
Although the couple is fairly private, Khomyn shares glimpses of their life off the field.
During an “Ask Me Anything” on Instagram in November, Khomyn was asked, “What is the hardest part about being married to someone who has to be so tied to their job?”
“Time together. For sure,” Khomyn wrote in her reply, adding, “Time for friends & family.
“When so much responsibility comes with a job it’s hard to be able to be present in all areas of life all at the same time. It’s impossible.
“He chose this career path, he has so much passion for football and it provides for our life & future. I also know what I signed up for. So it’s just one of those things you can look at as a temporary challenge but it’s also a blessing in so many ways and as long as he’s happy so am I.”
At the time, Khomyn also shared that she and McVay met in Washington, D.C., when they both lived there — presumably referring to when McVay was with Washington as a tight ends coach and offensive coordinator from 2011-2016.
The coach first made an appearance on Khomyn’s Instagram page as early as 2016, and they got engaged in 2019.
McVay, who is under contract with the Rams through the 2026 season, made headlines in January amid speculation about his future with the team.
He was at the center of rumors that he would transition to a career in broadcasting.
McVay then shut down TV buzz, saying that although the rumors were “flattering,” he was focused on his job and hasn’t questioned whether he wants to keep coaching because of the Rams’ rough season.
The Rams finished last season at 5-12.
