This thing only smells finger-licking good.
Don’t be tempted to taste Kentucky Fried Chicken’s 11 Herbs & Spices Firelog — or you will most definitely get burnt. For better or worse, the limited-edition KFC Firelog is back by popular demand at Walmart.com, where it’s going for $15.88 a pop.
Unlike the brisk evergreen scent of your nostalgic childhood memories, this fowl hearth warmer smells like a bucket of Colonel Sanders’ legendary deep-fried poultry.
“Since selling out last year, we have received weekly calls from hopeful fans wanting to get their hands on the 11 Herbs & Spices Firelog,” said Ross McRoy, president and founder of Enviro-Log, in a statement. “This heart-warming and hunger-inducing partnership … is sure to spice things up this holiday season.”
From the looks of the Walmart comments section, McRoy isn’t just spouting empty hype about this aromatic curiosity.
One five-star fan raved: “What would I want my house to smell like other than KFC? This is perfect for this season because I can host and have my house smell warm and buttery. Everyone has a scented candle that lets the room smell like an ocean, but this lets my whole HOUSE smell like a kitchen. A nice warm kitchen frying up all of our favorite foods! Sign. Me. Up”
Another admitted to having some doubts, but they came around: “I didn’t think I needed this product until I saw it with my own eyes, then experienced the bliss that is filling your home with the mouth-watering home-style fragrance.”
